During approximately one hour on the water, enjoy views of the reed beds, Andean birds and Lake Titicaca. At the Uros Islands, learn how local families build and maintain their floating homes with totora reeds before returning to Puno.

Equipment and safety briefing
Receive your kayak, paddle, life jacket and basic equipment. The instructor explains paddling technique and safety procedures.

Fitness and weather
Basic fitness is required to paddle for 60 to 90 minutes. Sun exposure, cold and wind can be intense at this altitude. Always follow the instructor’s directions; safety takes priority over the itinerary.
Safety on the lake
The activity depends on wind and lake conditions. The guide may change the route, delay departure or replace the kayaking segment to protect the group.
A life jacket and kayak equipment are provided before departure.
A support boat accompanies the route.
