Chauchilla Cemetery & Cantalloc Aqueducts Tour

Archaeology and engineering 5.0

This overland tour connects Chauchilla Cemetery with the Cantalloc Aqueducts. At the necropolis, learn about ancient funerary practices while observing tombs, human remains, pottery and textile fragments from designated visitor areas.

At Cantalloc, discover a hydraulic system of underground channels and spiral access shafts designed to collect and transport water through one of Peru’s driest environments. The approximately three-hour combination reveals how Nazca society honored the dead while sustaining life and agriculture.
